Confluence Capstone Project

In my Sohpomore year, I put together a proposal to create an online art gallery as my Capstone Project. The final goal of this project was to create 30 pieces of unique artwork over the years to display on a personalized website as a working gallery. My objective for doing this as my capstone was to show my progress and growth in learning different art techniques that will help me in the future.

 

Officially, I had only two mentors, whom I would like to thank for their support in helping me through this project through the years. David Harding, an artist in my community, met with me and gave me insightful tips on how to build my skills as an artist. And Brian Snow, my dad, helped me with the more technical part of setting up an account on Wix and giving me my own domain. Thank you to you both for everything that you've helped me with, I appreciate everything I have learned from you through this process.

While participating in elective art classes was never an official part of this capstone project, I did join three art classes at BHSU. Art Appreciation, Drawing I and Drawing II. These classes taught me new techniques and introduced me to new mediums. I decided to count a few of my assignments from these classes as part of the final 30 finished artworks.

I ended up going on to make 33 artworks and setting up my gallery through Wix with little to no changes from my original proposed plan.
